Several activities are planned at Queen Wilhelmina State Park to celebrate the Christmas Season. Some of the highlights of this year’s Christmas on the Mountain are two concerts, a visit from Santa Claus, and Christmas Bingo.
Caroling is always a part of the festivities. On December 22nd, at 11:00 A.M. the park’s tour trailer will head down the drive with a load of Christmas Carolers. It is the closest thing we have to a sleigh ride. If you can stand the chill and like joining with others in song, call for reservations for this hour long ride.
Spirit Led will perform on the 22nd at 7:00 P.M. The concert will take place in the lodge Conference Room. This gospel group has a great sound and will help get you in the Christmas Spirit.
The Talimena Drive Band will give the gift of country music at 7:00 P.M. in the lodge conference room on December 23rd. This band has a clean, crisp sound and they plan to work in a couple of Christmas songs with their usual selections.
Santa will make two appearances to make sure he gets all the orders. He will be in the lodge lobby from 6:00 P.M. till 6:30 P.M. on December 22nd and December 24th. He will stay until all the kids have had a chance to talk to him, then due to his busy schedule he will have to head back to the North Pole.
On December 24th at 7:00 P.M. we will have free Bingo in the Conference Room. Win a prize and enjoy some Christmas fun.
All the Christmas activities are free and open to the public. Call the park at 479-394-2863 or 1-800-264-2477 for more information.
