In an effort to promote motorcycle tourism in the Natural State, Queen Wilhelmina State Park and Mt. Magazine State Park have joined forces to host the Peak to Peak Poker Run on June 5, 2010. The route will take the participants from Arkansas’ second highest point to the highest. Riders will enjoy some of the best scenery in the state as they collect a poker hand that could earn them a $1000.00 first prize. There will also be a $200.00 second prize and two additional prizes of one night stay at both Queen Wilhelmina and Mt Magazine lodge.

 Between the peaks at each end of the route, the bikers will wind their way across beautiful countryside and small communities. Riders could enjoy some activities of the Lum and Abner Festival in Mena on their way to completing the run.

 Arkansas State Parks want to be a part of the growing motorcycle use around the country. We also want to get the word out about some of the scenic roads that are found in Arkansas to those in surrounding states. That is why we are promoting this event.

 Ride begins at 9:00 A.M. till 11:00 A.M. from the lodge at Queen Wilhelmina. All hands must be drawn by 4:00 P.M. at the Mt. Magazine Lodge.

 The riders will pick up five beads along the way. At the end of the route they will trade their beads for real cards and a chance at prizes based on the hand. Included in the registration fee will be a tee shirt and possibilities of prizes from the poker hand.
