QUEEN WILHELMINA STATE PARK LODGE TO BE CLOSED TEMPORARILY MAY 2-3

Entire Lodge Including Restaurant, Dining Room, and Guest Rooms Will Be Closed While Plumbing Contractors Make Repairs at the Lodge Restaurant
(MENA, Ark.)—Queen Wilhelmina State Park Lodge in Polk County atop Rich Mountain will be closed temporarily May 2-3. According to Park Superintendent Paula Magers, “Plumbing contractors will make repairs at the lodge restaurant during that time.” She said, “The entire lodge including the restaurant, dining room, and 38 guest rooms will close since we won’t have food services available for our guests.” Majors continued, “The contractors plan to get this work completed as quickly as possible, so that, hopefully, the lodge will reopen Wednesday, May 4.” All other park facilities including the campground will remain open.
Queen Wilhelmina State Park is on Ark. 88, the Talimena Scenic Drive, 13 miles west of Mena. It isone of the 52 state parks administered by the State Parks Division of the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism.
