Adventure Lurks Around Every Curve
If motorcycles went to heaven when they die, what would it look
like? A winding, mountainous route
passing through miles of forests punctuated by scenic vistas would be
ideal. It would be a road where close
contact with nature was assured but semi-trucks are prohibited. There would be other bikers for company, but
not too many. The good news is that your
bike doesn’t have to die to enjoy the best ride in the central United States;

Fifty-four miles of nationally recognized scenic drive is spread out
between Mena, Arkansas, and Talihina, Oklahoma. It climbs, curves, and dips across both Rich
and Winding Stair Mountains. Bear, deer,
and turkey live in the dense forests on either side of the road. Panoramic vistas are spaced strategically
along the route which allows the rider to stretch for a few minutes and take in
the view. For the rider that wants to
get away from everything except the joy of riding,
